Using AI for Water Quality Assessment
April 17, 2024
We’re excited to share our research on using Gemini 1.5 for water quality analysis. With traditional methods often requiring heavy resources and time, we explored how AI could streamline this process.
Gemini 1.5, an advanced language model, analyzes microscopic and macroscopic water footage to identify pollutants like microplastics and bacteria. In our study, Gemini 1.5 matched manual methods in accuracy, detecting key indicators such as turbidity and clarity. By offering quick, reliable insights into water quality, this tool opens up opportunities for broader environmental monitoring and public awareness.
Some benefits include:
Detecting microplastics, bacteria, diatoms
Fast, accessible results for water monitoring
Helping communities take action
We’re working on making this tool available to both scientists and citizens. Let us know your thoughts and stay tuned for more updates!
